What is Dated?
Dated is a private AI-powered journal for your love life. Write about dates, feelings, and frustrations, and the AI reads across every entry to surface the recurring patterns you can't see from inside them.
Is my data private?
Your journal entries are stored on your device and optionally backed up to your personal iCloud account — there are no social features and nobody sees your entries but you. If you sign up through our website, we collect your email address to link your subscription and onboarding answers to your app. We use PostHog for analytics, error capture, and masked session replay on the website and app, and Microsoft Clarity for masked replay and heatmaps on the website. We also use Meta to measure website and app advertising; Meta app events may be measured without the IDFA, while IDFA collection requires your App Tracking Transparency authorization. Your journal content and the people you write about are never sent to analytics or advertising providers.
How does the AI work?
After a few entries, Dated starts connecting dots between dates — same red flags, same triggers, same type showing up again. Insights are always grounded in words you already wrote.
What's free and what's paid?
Writing is free: unlimited text and voice entries, all entry types, person tagging, and your timeline. A premium subscription unlocks the AI — your Dating Blueprint, cross-entry pattern insights, weekly summaries, and more.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open iOS Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Find Dated and tap Cancel Subscription.
